Serenity Gems Inc. Was started in February of 1988 by me, Robert . The primary
objective then was to serve a need in the Pittsburgh area for a Sterling Silver
Wholesaler with the plan that ( A Retail store could come in and purchase just
one piece if they wanted, No Minimum order) I also served a small retail following
then in which I sold 14K Gold jewelry, Jewelry Repairs,and did Pearl & Bead
Restringing .Then in 1989 I started to purchase gemstones from overseas
cutters and the Gemstone end of our business was born. Moving on in 1991 I
married my beautiful wife Lauri and shortly after that she learned Restringing and
took over that end of the business allowing me more time to expand our stone ,
sterling, & 14k business .We both wait on customers everyday in our showroom
and spend a lot of time matching stones for our Repair shop customers. Our
business has grown to the point that we have the largest selection of Loose
Gemstones & Sterling Silver Jewelry in the Pittsburgh area, and still don't put
minimums on our customers. We have a large customer following (both
Wholesale & Retail), but wholesale remains about 95% of our business. Our
Retail store customers success is a direct reflection of our growth & success in
the past 20 years. Both Lauri and I are dedicated to our customers in every way.
We offer Selection, Quality, & a fair price for our services. Every day we are adding
new items to our vast Inventory. We look forward to meeting & doing business
with you.
In June 2007. We expanded our business by moving to our home town of
Washington Pa. We will now have 4 times the amount of space that we had in
Pittsburgh for less money and only 5 minutes from home. No more 2 hours on
the road everyday.( That time can be better used.) Our new space allows for 2
shop areas to do more work in house. Our reach for business has given us
about a thousand stores in 20 different states that we do work for. We will expand
our retail front with more gold and diamond jewelry and do more custom made
pieces. We have found a new home for our business and plan to be here for a
long time.
